12-Week Youth Skills Training

Looking to start a career in construction?

Are you:

  • Between the ages of 15 and 30?
  • Living in Hamilton?
  • Unemployed and facing barriers to employment?

If so, the Ready to Work Program at THRESHOLD School of Building could be your next step. Get hands-on training, real job experience, and the support you need to succeed in the trades.

Overview

  • Hands-on workshops in Carpentry, Electrical, Drywall and Plumbing
  • On-site work experience at a THRESHOLD community building project
  • Safety training including Emergency First Aid and Working at Heights
  • Employment seminars & Construction math workshops
  • Personal Protective Equipment, tool belts and hand tools supplied

Eligible participants will be paid an allowance equivalent to the prevailing
Ontario Minimum Wage rate.
